The London Fire Department responded to the crash scene just off Exeter Road around 3:24 PM on April 23rd. Fire crews arrived to find a vehicle had collided with the side of a residential townhouse, though thankfully no injuries were reported from the incident.

The impact was significant enough to affect the home’s gas line, prompting Enbridge Gas crews to be called to the scene as a safety precaution. Gas service to the affected property was immediately shut off while crews assessed the damage and ensured there were no leaks or other hazardous conditions.

Residents of the townhouse were temporarily evacuated from their home while emergency crews worked to secure the scene and address the gas line concerns. The evacuation was handled smoothly, with residents able to return to their homes once the area was deemed safe.

Exeter Road westbound was completely closed to traffic during the emergency response, creating some delays for commuters in the area. The road closure lasted for approximately an hour and 15 minutes while crews worked to clear the scene and ensure public safety.

Fire crews worked efficiently alongside Enbridge Gas technicians to manage the situation. The coordinated response helped minimize the disruption to both the affected residents and the surrounding neighbourhood.

By 3:43 PM, Exeter Road westbound was reopened to normal traffic flow. However, both fire crews and Enbridge Gas remained on scene to facilitate necessary repairs to the damaged gas line at the house.

The cause of the crash has not been disclosed by authorities. Emergency responders worked with London Police Service and Middlesex-London Paramedic Service to manage the incident and ensure all safety protocols were followed throughout the response.
