London police are on high alert following a terrifying home invasion in the downtown core that has left residents on edge. The Street Crime Unit is seeking the public’s assistance to locate three suspects involved in an armed robbery that occurred in the early hours of Monday morning.

According to police, two men and one woman arrived at a residential building near Wharncliffe Road North and Western Road around 6:30 a.m. on March 25. In what appears to be a calculated attack, the two male suspects covered their faces with masks before all three entered a unit within the building.

Once inside, the situation quickly escalated when one of the male suspects brandished a firearm, pointing it directly at the victim while demanding money, jewellery, and the victim’s cellphone. The confrontation turned violent when the suspect threatened and physically struck the victim with the firearm before all three fled the scene in a vehicle, taking the victim’s personal belongings with them.

After reviewing surveillance footage, investigators have identified and charged three London residents in connection with the incident: Wayne Clayton John Mcandrews, 39, Skylar Adam Eagle Speaker, 34, and Hayley Griffiths Walker, 25. All three have been jointly charged with armed robbery, though their whereabouts remain unknown, and warrants have been issued for their arrest.

Mcandrews faces additional serious charges including disguise with intent, possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, pointing a firearm, assault with a weapon, careless use of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and uttering threats of death or bodily harm.

Eagle Speaker has been additionally charged with disguise with intent and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order.

Police describe Mcandrews as an Indigenous male, approximately 5’8″, 170 lbs, with short dark hair, brown eyes, and no facial hair. Eagle Speaker is described as an Indigenous male, approximately 5’8″, 180 lbs, with a medium build, black short hair, facial hair, and brown eyes. Walker is described as a White female, approximately 5’5″, 120 lbs, with a slim build, long blonde hair, and blue eyes.

The London Police Service has published photographs of all three suspects on their website and is urging the public to come forward with any information regarding their whereabouts.

Authorities are warning residents not to approach the suspects if spotted and to immediately call 9-1-1.
