A 33-year-old London man found himself in handcuffs early Thursday morning after citizens spotted him breaking into a business on Commissioners Road East near Adelaide Street South.
The whole thing went down around 3:30 a.m. on June 12th, when someone noticed suspicious activity and did exactly what you’d hope they’d do – they called the cops. Multiple officers responded to the scene and managed to arrest the suspect without any drama or incident.
Here’s where it gets interesting though – when police searched the guy, they found break-and-enter tools on him. Because apparently if you’re going to commit a crime, you might as well come prepared, right?
The business didn’t escape unscathed though. The whole ordeal caused about $1,000 worth of damage to the property. That’s definitely not pocket change for any local business owner.
Michael Anisiewicz now faces some serious charges including break and enter with intent, possession of break-in instruments, and breach of probation. That last one suggests this isn’t his first rodeo with the justice system.
The accused is expected to make his court appearance on June 16, 2025, to face these charges. The London Police Service handled the investigation and arrest.
