The incident took place on May 4 at 6:08 p.m. at the Real Canadian Superstore location in Strathroy, where a male and female suspect allegedly stole items from the store before making their escape. What’s caught investigators’ attention isn’t just the theft itself, but the manner in which the pair left the scene.

According to the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service, the suspects didn’t just walk away with their pilfered goods – they hopped into a black Buick Enclave and drove off, with their departure being flagged for dangerous driving behaviour.

The whole thing went down pretty quickly, but not without being noticed. Store security and witnesses were able to provide enough details for police to piece together what happened and get a description of both the suspects and their getaway vehicle.

Police are now turning to the community for assistance in tracking down the pair. They’re hoping someone might recognize the suspects or have spotted the black Buick Enclave in the area around the time of the incident.

The case has been assigned the reference number SC25003035, and investigators are treating it as both a theft and dangerous driving matter. The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service has made additional details available through their Facebook and Instagram social media channels for anyone wanting more information about the incident.

Anyone with information about the theft or who might be able to identify the suspects is being asked to contact the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service directly at 519-245-1250. For those who prefer to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers is also accepting tips at 1-800-222-8477.
