A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a dramatic shooting incident that rocked a north London neighbourhood this summer, where investigators determined 33 shots were fired at a residence on Foxridge Crescent.
According to the London Police Service, Kaejean Isaiah Doman of Innisfil has been charged by York Regional Police in relation to the August 18 shooting, along with six other separate incidents across Vaughan, Brampton, and London.
The incident unfolded in the early morning hours between 3:30 and 3:50 a.m. on August 18, when police received multiple reports of suspicious noise on Foxridge Crescent. Officers arrived to find gunshot-related damage to both a residence and vehicle, though thankfully no one was injured.
Investigators later determined that the occupants of the residence were not the intended targets of the shooting. A suspect, possibly male, was observed exiting a black sedan, firing multiple rounds at the residence, and leaving southbound from the area in the same vehicle.
The suspect vehicle was identified as a 2021 or newer Acura TLX, Type S, black in colour. London Police released surveillance footage and stock images of a similar vehicle to help with the investigation.
Doman faces an extensive list of charges including discharge firearm with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of prohibited weapons and firearms, dangerous operation of a vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, flight from peace officer, and multiple counts of discharge firearm with recklessness and possession of prohibited firearms with ammunition.
The accused has remained in custody since his arrest by York Regional Police on September 10, 2025.
“This incident was a terrible act of violence in our community, but thankfully no one was injured,” said Detective Sergeant Jon Meinen of the London Police Service Guns and Gangs Section. “The newly announced charges reflect the ongoing communication and collaboration that we have with our partner agencies. These charges are a stark reminder that while individuals engaged in illegal activities do not recognize borders, our policing partnerships hold offenders to account regardless of where they are caught.”
The successful arrest came through collaboration and evidence sharing between the London Police Service and York Regional Police, highlighting the importance of inter-agency cooperation in tackling gun violence.
Acting Deputy Chief Paul Reynolds emphasized the London Police Service’s commitment to public safety, stating: “The London Police Service remains committed to ensuring public safety and reducing gun violence through proactive crime prevention, fostering community partnerships, and swiftly investigating firearm-related incidents to protect all Londoners.”
Both London Police and York Regional Police investigators continue to appeal for information from anyone who may have been in the area of Foxridge Crescent and Tokala Trail between 3:20 and 3:55 a.m. on August 18, particularly those with dash-cam footage, residential or business video surveillance.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the London Police Service at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Information can also be submitted online anonymously to London Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
