If you’ve been hunting for a family doctor in London, there’s some actual movement happening. Multiple medical centres across the city are currently accepting new patients.

A Reddit thread in the London Ontario community asking about family doctors taking new patients turned up several leads. Most of the options mentioned aren’t on the east side of the city, but they’re open.

Thompson Medical Centre at Hyde Park has been advertising that they have four doctors accepting new patients. According to the Reddit thread, the posting has been up for at least two weeks, and at least one person has registered there.

Over in Lambeth, there’s a brand new medical centre that just finished construction at Colonel Talbot and the 402. It’s still getting set up, but it’s one to watch as doctors may be establishing practices there soon.

Oakridge Medical Center on Wonderland has also put up signage indicating they’re taking new patients. The centre appears to be actively recruiting.
