Three Suspects Identified in Wild Downtown Carjacking That Has Everyone Talking

The downtown carjacking that’s been the talk of London just got a major update, and honestly, it’s quite the story. London Police have finally put names to faces for three of the six suspects involved in what can only be described as a pretty intense downtown incident that went down last month.

So here’s what happened: back on May 11th around 3 a.m., some poor guy parked his car in the 600-block of Richmond Street and popped into a nearby establishment. Nothing unusual there – we’ve all been there, right? But when he came back out just before 4 a.m., things got absolutely wild.

One woman started assaulting him right off the bat. The guy tried to walk away (smart move), but then four more women joined in. Yeah, you read that right – five women total decided to make this guy’s night a living nightmare. They followed him around, assaulting him multiple times, even chasing him right into the middle of Richmond Street.

The victim managed to escape and get to safety, but the nightmare wasn’t over. When he returned to his car shortly after 4 a.m., one of the women approached with a male accomplice and literally pulled him out of his vehicle. While he was getting assaulted by the guy and two of the women, one of the female suspects hopped into his car and drove off eastbound on Pall Mall Street.

The stolen vehicle was found the next day on Bedford Road, but the investigation has been ongoing ever since. London Police’s Street Crime Unit took over the case and have been working hard to identify everyone involved.

Now for the update everyone’s been waiting for: three of the six suspects have been identified. Helena Macuei, 21, and Yar Anyoun, 19, both from London, have been charged with assault. Meanwhile, Akuluel Anyoun, 28, also from London, is facing the more serious charge of robbery/theft from person with violence.

Here’s where it gets interesting – police still don’t know where these three are. Helena Macuei is described as a woman who’s about 5’11” and 175 pounds with long black hair. Yar Anyoun is slightly shorter at 5’10” and 150 pounds, also with long black hair. Akuluel Anyoun is 5’10” and 172 pounds with black and blonde hair in long braids and brown eyes.

The authorities are making it crystal clear: if you see any of these suspects, call 9-1-1 immediately and don’t approach them. They’re also still trying to identify the three remaining suspects and have posted photos on their website hoping someone might recognise them.

The victim thankfully only sustained minor injuries from this whole ordeal, but the investigation is still very much active. Police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time, has dash-cam footage, cellphone video, or surveillance footage to come forward.
