Phone Theft Turns Into Wild West End Chase With Knife-Wielding Suspect

A seemingly routine phone theft in London’s west end escalated into a dramatic chase involving multiple businesses, Good Samaritan bystanders, and a knife-brandishing suspect who really didn’t want to give up without a fight.

The whole ordeal kicked off around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 5th, when someone made the classic mistake of putting their phone down inside a business near Wonderland Road North and Farrah Road. That’s when 27-year-old Sae Taylor Kittridge swooped in and grabbed the device, because apparently finders keepers applies to stolen goods now.

But here’s where things get spicy – two brave bystanders decided they weren’t having any of this nonsense and tried to stop Kittridge. That’s when she pulled out a knife, because nothing says “I’m having a totally normal day” like brandishing a weapon over a stolen phone.

After making her dramatic exit on foot (because getaway cars are so last century), Kittridge apparently thought the best move was to waltz into another business near Wonderland Road North and Horizon Drive – still clutching that knife like it was her security blanket.

Someone called 911 again because, surprise surprise, people tend to get a bit nervous when someone walks into their establishment holding a knife. London Police Service officers arrived and managed to locate and arrest Kittridge shortly after, recovering both the stolen phone and the weapon.

You’d think the story would end there, but Kittridge had one more trick up her sleeve. As officers were removing her from the police vehicle at headquarters, she decided to take a bite out of crime – literally. One of the officers became an unwilling participant in what can only be described as the world’s most inappropriate dental appointment.

Thankfully, no one was seriously injured during this whole chaotic episode, though we’re guessing that officer might be checking their tetanus shot status.

The London woman now faces a quartet of charges that read like a “How Not to Behave in Public” checklist: theft under $5,000, possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, and assault on a peace officer. She remained in custody and was scheduled to appear in London court on Friday.
